Therapy meets summer camp. At no cost to families.
3Trees helps youth aged 13 to 18 rebuild their lives after sexual abuse. Evidence-based therapy. Nature. Connection. All in one place, at Mabel Lake, BC.

The need
She is 14. She is not alone.
She experienced sexual abuse as a child. The memories come back every day. Sleep is hard. School is hard. Friends feel far away.
Cutting her arms helps. She wants to stop. Nothing else eases the memories. Her parents see the scars. They feel helpless.
She is one of thousands of young people in BC right now.
Without timely support, trauma can shape the rest of a young person's life. With the right help at the right time, it does not have to.
Why 3Trees is different
Therapy as usual is not enough.
Weekly one-on-one therapy often cannot integrate the connection, skills, and community that help youth actually heal. 3Trees does both, at once, in one place.
Tailored to each family
Every young person gets their own assessment and treatment plan. Youth help shape their program so it fits them, not the other way around.
Targets trauma at the source
Evidence-based therapy, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, to address PTSD, depression, anxiety, and high-risk coping.
Builds real-life resilience
Art, music, wilderness, sport, and equine connection. Research shows connection and belonging are the strongest predictors of recovery.
Families heal together
Caregivers get workshops and therapy alongside youth. Trauma does not happen in isolation, and healing should not either.
How the program works
Three phases, one path forward.
The 3Trees model blends clinical care with the resilience-building power of summer camp. Every youth receives all three phases.
01
Building connections
Planning
Each family receives a tailored assessment and treatment plan. Youth help shape their own program so they feel in control from day one.
02
At camp
Tripartite therapy
Individual evidence-based therapy. Family therapy to strengthen connections. Group activities that promote resilience through art, music, wilderness, equine connection, and daily community contributions.
03
Maintaining connections
After-care
A transition plan to adjust to life after camp. Virtual group meetups to honor relationships. Mentoring opportunities for returning youth.
Where donations go
Full transparency. Every dollar.
3Trees is run by a board of directors and a small clinical leadership team. We publish financials annually and every donor receives a tax receipt.
