The tripartite therapy model

Three pillars. One integrated whole.

01

Individual therapy

Evidence-based interventions including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) to address PTSD, depression, anxiety, and high-risk coping behaviors.

02

Family therapy

Caregivers participate in their own therapy and workshops. The goal is to strengthen connection, rebuild trust, and equip parents with tools to support healing at home.

03

Group resilience

Art, music, theatre, wilderness, sport, and equine connection. Research shows group belonging and skill-building are the strongest predictors of post-trauma resilience.

After-care

Camp ends. Connection continues.

  • 1

    Transition plans

Every youth leaves with a personalized plan for adjusting to life after camp, including connections to longer-term community resources.

  • 2

    Virtual group follow-ups

Post-camp virtual meetups honor the relationships built at camp and allow continued support during the months that follow.

  • 3

    Mentoring for returning youth

Youth who have completed camp can return in future years as mentors, turning lived experience into leadership.

The 2026 camp runs because of donors.
