3Trees opens the 2026 camp waitlist
After two years of planning, fundraising, and research partnerships, 3Trees is opening the waitlist for our first therapeutic summer camp.
By Dr. Pia Pechtel
Two and a half years after 3Trees was founded, we’re taking our biggest step yet. Today we’re opening the waitlist for our first Therapeutic Day Camp, running in Armstrong, BC in July 2026.
Why this matters
For families in the North Okanagan, specialized trauma-informed support for young people who have experienced sexual abuse has been hard to find. Weekly therapy, where it’s available at all, often cannot address the depth of need. Families deserve better.
The 2026 camp is our proof of concept. Eight youth and sixteen caregivers. A full week of evidence-based therapy blended with art, music, equine connection, and the kind of community that helps young people remember they are not alone.
How to get on the waitlist
If you’re a young person who could benefit from the program, or a non-offending caregiver of a young person, please reach out to info@3treesokanagan.ca. Dr. Pia Pechtel or Deanne Leung will be in touch to start a confidential conversation.
How to help
The 2026 camp runs on donations. Every gift, big or small, gets us closer to running a camp at full capacity. See our donation page to join the forest.
There’s still a long way to go, but we’re closer than we’ve ever been. Thank you for being part of this.
